What is Adventure Boat Share?

We are a boat club. We offer our members access to a fleet of boats. Members join the club by paying a one time (lifetime) membership fee and then monthly dues. The concept is similar to the traditional golfing country club.

How does a boat club work?
​
Own the boating, not the boat! Membership in the Adventure Boat Share Club allows you to enjoy all the perks of boat ownership without any of the hassle. You literally arrive at the docks and go. The only thing you have to worry about is paying for the fuel you use. You never need to worry about scheduling service or missing a weekend due to a malfunction.
What is included in the membership at Adventure Boat Share?
You get unlimited access to like NEW, luxury boats. All fees associated with boat ownership are included in the membership cost, like the insurance, tow coverage, maintenance, and dock fees.

Who can come on the boat?
​
Anyone you want to bring along for the ride: family members, friends, even pets. As long as a member is present, you can bring whoever you want! However, only the boat club member and spouse, who has completed the boating safety tutorial, can drive the boat.

What is the difference between Adventure Boat Share and boat rentals, boat leasing, and boat time shares?
​
Boat leasing applies to a single, specific boat, boat timeshares limit when and how often you can use their boats, and boat rentals charge you every time you use a boat, which are typically in poor condition. Your Adventure Boat Share membership gives you UNLIMITED use of a WIDE variety of shiny new boats, year round!

Are there any extra fees associated with usage?
​
No security deposit, no dock fees, we even provide you with insurance coverage. You are only responsible for the one time initiation fee, monthly dues, and whatever gas you may use while on the water. For your convenience, we have a gas dock located at the Venetian Cove Marina, where you can fill up the tank when your finished. Or, if you prefer, our dock hands will gas the boat up for you at no extra charge!

Is there a limit to how many times I can take the boats out?
​
No, there is absolutely no limit. As long as the boat is available, you can go out as many times as you would like! Reservations are for full days. Show up when you like and use the boats as little or as much as you want.

What if I have never used a boat before?
​
We will provide you with the training you will need to properly handle a boat on the Harris Chain of Lakes and at our coastal location. Every member is provided an on the water boating safety tutorial.

What safety equipment is on the boat?
​
All boats have US Coast Guard required equipment including life jackets, fire extinguisher, sound producing device, and throw cushion. Boats are checked for this equipment by the member prior to the departure.
What are the club hours?
​
Adventure Boat Share will operate year round. It will be open 7 days a week. You can operate ABS boats from sunup to sundown.

Are the boats maintained frequently?
​
Yes, the boats will be inspected daily. We have a service agreement with Holiday Marine, so they will handle all the service that the boat & engine needs, as well as any service calls. We will include all towing if you should have an unforeseen problem.

Will I get a boat reservation when I call?
​
Since inception we have offered our members available boats 100% of the time, something we are proud to say. We have the lowest boat to member ratio. There is a strictly maintained boat to club member ratio. This allows Adventure Boat Share to ensure a boat is available for your leisure.

How does the reservation system work?
​
Our reservation system is very simple to use. You download a free app on your phone, log in, and choose the day and the boat you would like. It's that easy! The reservation system is also available online. Members are allowed four rolling full day reservations on the calendar at any one time. The Boat Club member must be present, on the boat, during the entire time that the boat is in their care.

Reservation Cancellation Policy?
​
You can cancel your reservation at any time with no cancellation fees.
​
What if I decide to buy a boat?
​
During the first year, you get the option to apply your initiation fee toward the purchase of a new or used boat from Holiday Marine, should you decide that boat ownership is for you! We feel that once you experience our club, which is as hassle free as boating can be, you will never want to go back to boat ownership. In the event that you do, you're covered! Holiday Marine sells industry leading brands like Hurricane Deck, Bayliner, Monaco Pontoons, Sweetwater Pontoons, and Ranger Boats.

How do I join?
​
You must be at least 25 years old. Call us at 352-787-4824 or click the "Contact Us" button below and we will set up a time for you to come down and get a tour of the marina. We'll also schedule a hands-on one on one training tutorial conducted by our knowledgeable personnel. We welcome boaters with any skill level to join!
